This image came to me as a gift. I had a rare occasion where I woke naturally one morning, something which does not happen often for a mother of a young, early waking child. At that liminal point somewhere between waking consciousness and sleep, whilst in a hypnopompic state, I was given this image and a title – a pure gift from Spirit! I had no choice but to start drawing what I had been shown. A shamanic journey to discover the meaning of this spirit-gifted image told me more. We as humans have so much to fall back upon – our family, our friends, society and if it comes to it the welfare system. An owl in the wood has none of this – to the owl the wood is all; it is everything.
